I've finished a Vexillatio of a new legion, the III Cyrenaica, based in Palestina.

La Vexillatio está formada por tres cohortes más un destacamento de lanciarii. He mezclado tanto legionarios con lorica segmentata como con cota de malla y escudos ovalados y rectangulares para representar el equipamiento peculiar de las legiones del siglo III.

The Vexillatio is composed by three cohors and a lanciarii detachment. I've mixed both legionaries with lorica segmentata and mail armour and oval and rectangular shields to show the typical equipment of the legions of the 3rd century.

He pintado los escudos con un diseño amarillo porque corresponde muy bien al entorno desértico donde fue creada, la Cirenaica, que corresponde a la actual Libia. El diseño es parecido a muchos escudos que he visto por la red, pero lo he sacado de un libro titulado Warfare in the Classical World, the John Warry.

I've painted the shield design with a yellow desing because it fits very well with the desertic landscape where it was founded, in Cyrenaica, which nowadays is Libya. The design is similar to some I saw in the web, but I've taken it from a book titled Warfare in the Classical World, by John Warry.
