In the first and second rounds, Murakami and Ogasawara troops advance against Itagaki troops, trying to break the resistance to attack Shingen's hatamoto.

Ogasawara troops fierily headed the attack, which made the retire of Itagaki Nobutaka at the first time. Nevertheless, after the first attack the Ogasawara samurai become blocked fighting against Nobutaka, and he could reorganized his line. In the flank, close to the table limit, Murakami and Hara prepare their units to fight. Murakami's victory and the destruction or flight of the Takeda cavalry will mean the sudden final of the battle, letting the hatamoto open to an attack.
