Assault to the Suwa Castle II

La segunda parte de la batalla se inicia en un punto clave, con las tropas de Murakami y Ogasawara tratando de romper las líneas Takeda frente al hatamoto de Shingen, pero su situación era cada vez más complicada.

The second part of the battle started in a key point, with Murakami and Ogasawara troops trying to break the Takeda lines in front of Shingen's hatamoto, but their situation was getting harder.

El combate entre la caballería Takeda dirigida por Hara Masatane y las tropas Murakami se debatió en un combate reñido, en el que no parecía haber un vencedor claro. Por su parte, los samuráis Ogasawara trataron de romper las líneas de Itagaki Nobutaka, pero finalmente fueron rechazados, y con la retirada de las tropas Ogasawara el combate acabó por inclinarse por el bando Takeda.

The combat between Takeda cavalry leaded by Hara Masatane and Murakami's force was fought in a rough melee, where no one seems like the winner. On the other hand, the Ogasawara samurai tried to break the line of Itagaki Nobutaka, but finally they were rejected, and their retreat mean that the fight finally moves on Takeda's side.

Tras la primera melée, las fuerzas Murakami se encontraban en obvia desventaja, presionadas por una victoriosa caballería Takeda. Mientras, las tropas de Nobutaka, a las que ahora se les unieron los ashigaru del hatamoto de Shingen, se reagrupaban para una nueva oleada. Ater the firs fight, Murakami forces were fighting in disadvantage, being pressed by a victorious Takeda cavalry. Meanwhile, Nobutaka's troops, that were now supported by the ashigaru of Shingen's hatamoto, were regrouping to fight a new wave. In this moment, Suwa Yorishige decided to order his troops to leave the fort and to attack Baba's forces, which whom were in a fire exchange from the beginning of the battle, going to support the allied troops in disadvantage.

Sorpresivamente, pese a tener la victoria al alcance de la mano, la caballería Takeda sufrió un revés decisivo cuando el propio Murakami intervino en la batalla, y todas las fuerzas de Hara huyeron del campo de batalla. En ese momento, Itagaki Nobutaka quedó al mando del flanco que defendía el hatamoto de Shingen.

Surprisingly, despite having the victory at hand, Takeda cavalry was suddenly defeated decisively when Murakami himself took part in the fight, and all Hara troops flight from the battlefield. Only Itagaki Nobutaka was now in charge of the defense of Shingen's hatamoto.

La batalla se encontraba en su punto decisivo. Si Suwa conseguía hacer huír a las tropas de Baba, entonces los flancos se equilibrarían. Junto a ellos, los pocos supervivientes Murakami y Ogasawara, después de haber frenado a la caballería Takeda, se reagrupaban para dar su última resistencia.

The battle was at it's decisive point. If Suwa could make Baba's troops to flee, then both side will be equilibrated. Close to them, the Murakami and Ogasawara survivors, after stopping the Takeda cavalry, grouped together in order to offer their last stand.

Pero tras una impetuosa carga, y pese a su victoria inicial, las tropas de Suwa no pudieron derrotar a Baba, y la batalla quedó sentenciada.

But after an impetuous charge, despite their initial victory, Suwa's troops couldn't defeat Baba's, and the battle was decided.

Las tropas de Takeda avanzaron victoriosas por el campo de batalla, cuando la coalición de Shinano decidió retirarse a tiempo, antes de que la derrota fuera total.

The Takeda troops advance victoriously throughout the battlefield, when the Shinano coalition decided to retire in time, before the defeat was complete.

Un feliz Shingen recibe de sus mensajeros tsukaiban las noticias de la victoria.
